A Few New Favorite Restaurants In Santa Fe

Santa Fe's restaurant scene is incredibly competitive and you're guaranteed a great meal no matter where you eat. The city offers a wide variety of international cuisine, and traditional Santa Fe fare is not to be missed. I wrote a great post with so many recommendations here but have also discovered a few new ones I just had to share with you!!!

La Casa Sena-Mediterranean inspired cuisine, craft cocktails, and an award-winning wine list, located in the beautiful courtyard oasis of historic Sena Plaza. Tucked away in a historic building with an enchanting garden courtyard, La Casa Sena feels like a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Santa Fe Plaza. Featuring Mediterranean cuisine, an award-winning wine list, and a spectacular patio they hope to provide a magical experience to locals and visitors alike. By sourcing regional ingredients and creating beautiful dishes, Chef José Rodriguez has a deep appreciation for cultivating a local clientele. “I just want to bring the locals to the table and give them what they want. I want them to enjoy themselves and have a great experience.”

Chef Rodriguez -this was all so sensational!!!! Simply divine!

Dolmadakias -grapevine leaves, rice, herbs, tzatziki, dill, mint, olive oil, and lemon

Gyro -yogurt marinated lamb, cucumbers, tomatoes, oregano, parsley, paprika, pita, tzatziki, and house made fries

Gnocchi-house-made potato gnocchi, roasted chicken, spinach, basil, gorgonzola chianti sauce

Galaktoboureko-classic Greek rolls, semolina crusted pistachios, vanilla ice cream, and preserved peaches

La Casa Sena ... I can't wait to return! And we cannot wait to visit Club Legato after enjoying dinner and drinks in the dining room. Every Wednesday through Saturday night, their bar comes alive with the sweet sounds of jazz.

Mucho- Truly the best sandwich place in Santa Fe!!! Or maybe in the world. Every single thing we have had is excellent!!

The Mucho Gourmet Sandwich Shoppe, a family owned and operated restaurant, has been serving Santa Fe the finest gourmet sandwiches in the city for nearly a quarter-century. Founded in 1989 by Peggy and Rex Schnupp and now operated by two of their children, Nathan and Shannon Curenton, Mucho has become a beloved city institution. It earned “best sandwich” accolades from the Santa Fe Reporter for several years running until the category was retired.

You can call in your order as early as 9 A.M and they offer delivery and catering options too!!!!! I could truly eat here everyday!

Museum Hill Cafe-100 miles of views, one of the most largest covered patios in Santa Fe, A darn good wine and beer list, and plenty of free parking. They have the best Reuben in town and I love the brunch menu!!!!

Cafe Greco-Caffe Greco gets it’s name from Rita and Michael’s life experiences. When Rita was a teenager, she spent many years studying opera at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilla. Everyday Rita, who is of Spanish, French and Greek descent, would enjoy the amazing Greek food her father would prepare.

After graduating, she moved to New York, where she met the love of her life Michael Linder, an opera singer and cantor who performed at Carnegie Hall and also had a passion for music and food as a maitre d’. They got married and had two children Carl and Julia. In 1987, they came to Santa Fe and fell in love with La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco De Asis. Next, they moved here.

Other members of the family you will see in the restaurant include Rita and Michael’s daughter, Julia Bell, who married Lance Bell (whose family owned and ran Bell’s Department Store for 58 years in Santa Fe) who is a cook and food writer and their granddaughter Jacquelina Bell, who has been cooking since she was three years old. Sometimes, you will find Jacqueline singing and playing piano in our red room. Next, we have Michael and Rita’s son Carl, who is an Attorney in Miami with his wife Robin and their two daughters. Caffe Greco is just one big family affair.

The Greek Food is so delicious and the patio is delightful on Canyon Road!

Skyfire-Nestled at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, SkyFire draws inspiration from the diverse, rich ingredients and textures found in Mexico, and infuses them with unexpected modern techniques. The transformative element of fire is present throughout the bar, main dining room and terrace where piñon or cedar wood logs are burned to evoke a scent which roots you to the grounding atmosphere, and the wood-fired grill imparts complexity to bright, vibrant dishes.

We indulged in their 4th Of July BBQ and it was everything and more!! Worth every penny!!

Crepas-oh!- is a cozy restaurant that specializes in delicious crepes made with fresh ingredients. They have a wide variety of options to satisfy your cravings.

La Mama- Coffee, natural wine, an all day menu, and a grocery market with lovely finds and fresh flowers!!!!! On Sundays they offer BELLINIS + TAROT (Bellinis All Day + Tarot Readings from 3-6p ) . (Every Other) MONDAY they have SMASH BURGERS from One Trick Pony Burger on the Patio from 5p-SOLD. (they are soooo good) WEDNESDAY evenings are for OYSTERS a’ LA MAMA…..Shucking East + West Coast on the Patio from 4p-SOLD .
