Cozy Up Your Bedding For Winter
There may be nothing better than cozying up for the colder months ahead. Because your bedroom is your total sanctuary, it is one area of the home that you don’t want to miss when decorating for every season. To achieve a comfortable, inviting look, you don’t need to rearrange your whole bedroom; a few changes of the bedding can make a big difference in bringing warmth to your room!
Quince has the bedding options you need to achieve this! (more on them soon) Their linen bedding is breathable, yet insulating; best for year-round comfort!!
The first thing you want to do is switch out your sheets and blankets, especially if you live in an area with four distinctive seasons! It really is beneficial to have both summer and winter bedding. Those crisp, cool sheets you crave in the summer can feel quite frigid during the winter months, so swap them out for some flannel or fleece sheets instead. However if you are like me living in an area with a mild climate all year round….I tend to stick with linen all year round. I am a very hot sleeper and I would melt in flannel sheets! HA!
But I love playing on color and if you don't typically have a warm blanket or quilt on your bed, this is the perfect time to add one. I do add a heavier down quilt into my duvet cover to keep me warm and cozy where I typically do not use one in the summer and spring!
The next thing you want to do is incorporate warm colors or if rich tones are your not your style and you are like me and prefer neutrals, swap out those whites and blushes for deep greys, greens, even browns and navy. The color sets the mood for the whole room, so use it strategically. If you don’t want to change your bedding, add a few warm-toned throw pillows against a white or cream backdrop will easily add a cozy feel!! Just have fun with it!
(Here is how this bed looked with white linen for spring and summer)
I also love playing with textures! Sleek, clean lines and starched sheets may feel welcoming in summer, but are typically a bit cold during the winter months. Warm things up by incorporating various textures into your bedding. Nothing says cozy better than a thick quilted blanket! Knit blankets also exude warmth, so add a chunky knit throw at the end of your bed for an extra inviting touch.
Add layers and patterns too if that fits your style! Anything goes really!
So I partnered with Quince this season for my winter bedding and I am so happy with it. I absolutely love the charcoal and olive colors together! It’s still very different from what was here before so it feels different but is still very much in my comfort zone and not so drastic of a change where I feel lost.

They started Quince to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. The mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands at a much lower price.
No More Middlemen
They revised every part of a traditional retailer's playbook. They cut out all the middlemen and managed every element of the item's creation ourselves, including packaging and transportation.
