How to Host Thanksgiving And Christmas Dinner Without the Stress Featuring Reasor's Heat + Serve Holiday Dinners

This post was created in partnership with Reasor’s. Thank you for supporting the sponsors that keep Go French Yourself creating.

Staying calm, cool, and collected is my whole vibe this season ya’ll.

It’s been a really stressful year for our entire family and there has been so much change. It is our first Thanksgiving with Jan being in a nursing home and the first year Lin and I will not even be in town for Christmas. Not to mention a “Friendsgiving” event I planned for my Go French Yourself team this weekend in the midst of the busiest two weeks of my whole entire year. I was in a full blown panic this time last week wondering how the heck I was going to cook a whole Thanksgiving meal on a Saturday morning before 1:00p.m. while still making deadlines for clients and still being a good wifey and dog-mom. Being the designated hostess can add on a lot of extra stress this time of year and I just cannot handle anymore stress in my life.

A good mentor of mine reminded me during a break down on a phone call that the first rule of throwing a holiday lunch party: as the host, you should actually have fun and that gatherings shouldn’t be stressful or filled with expectations – they should be about bringing your favorite people together! She reminded me that there is magic of meals shared with others. And that it was all going to be okay! I thought about that for quite a few days and instantly felt calm, cool, and collected. And I made a call to Reasor’s to take all the weight off of my shoulders.

Reasor’s is making the holidays more convenient this year with their MADE-TO-ORDER HEAT + SERVE HOLIDAY DINNERS. And I am here for it. I think it is so important we carve out more time for ourselves and family instead of stressing shopping and cooking. Reasor’s has everything you need to impress your guests. From savory side dishes in their deli for a quick and easy holiday meal, to party trays pre-ordered for your business luncheon, you can even order the entire heat and eat dinner which is what I did for my company Friendsgiving! They even have delicious Tippin’s pies and decadent cookies and their new Reasor's Original Signature Caramelized Pecan Dutch Apple Pie. And if you're not so sure about stepping out of the kitchen and letting them do the cooking for you, they have some sampling events planned in December so you can taste all of the delicious and divine sides in their deli, bakery, special holiday grocery items so you can try before you buy. Reasor's Taste of the Holidays wouldn't be "Taste of the Holidays" without Tasting, right? Or you can just trust me to tell you that you are in the best hands by taking advantage of all of their offerings this season!!!!

There are 6 different dinners to chose from but I ordered the Prime Rib Dinner! I figured everyone would be getting their fair share of turkey so I wanted to do something a little different!

Here is everything I received!!!

any holiday dinner.

King’s Hawaiian Rolls (Dozen)

And then I even picked a few things off The A La Carte menu! The mashed cauliflower was a huge hit! And we had to have some sweet potato casserole and ambrosia dessert salad!!!! Love ambrosia dessert salad..it reminds me of my grandparents. I also purchased a whole bunch of things to make a cheese tray too!!! Reasor’s has the best selection of cheese. Have you seen it?!

But there are so many options for you to look over. And you can do that here.

The ordering process was so simple too. You can order in store or at reasors.com. Select a pick up time and they can even have it hot for you if you are planning on serving it right after you pick it up or bringing a dish to a party! They even help you carry it to the car.

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving and Christmas is, of course, the food. When else do you have the excuse to load up on so many indulgent flavors?! My least favorite thing is the fact that it only lasts one night. In this day and age of near-daily negative news, I think we need to make a family gathering centered on gratitude a monthly (or weekly!) occurrence and have Reasor’s do the cooking for us!!! All in favor-raise your hands!!!!!

Let’s all embrace a new fuss-free and fun entertaining style, shall we???

I mean…look at Henry-he is totally living his best life over here! Who knew a dog could love pumpkin pie so much?!!!

The true secret of getting the most out of your holiday season is striking a balance between spending time with friends and family and taking some time to unwind by yourself and Reasor’s is here to help us! At the end of the day, just remember the holiday season is about taking a moment to relax and spend time with the people you love!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Holidays everyone!!! Let Reasor’s give you more time with family and friends!!! It is so important.
