A ROYAL RUCKUS: NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE MAYO
Well darlings, the holiday season officially comes to a close as soon as the ball drops on New Year’s Eve and we sing Auld Lang Syne with bubbly and share smooches with the ones we love. (Or if you are Princess Eleanor, who knows what might happen at midnight. ) While we still get to enjoy all that Christmas has to offer for a few weeks, it’s never too early to plan for your next big night out. The ultimate party of the year is quickly approaching in The GRAND Hall and Penthouse Bar of the swanky Mayo Hotel so this gives you the perfect amount of time to find your head-turning outfit for the theme centered around The Royals. I love to be prepared and I take themes to the extreme and I want you loves to be remembered for being the best- dressed. I mean my job is to make sure you get re-grammed on insta. We all know it's a BIG deal so don't roll your eyes. The Royals style looks like Buckingham Palace on steroids. Lucky for us, this means our options are quite limitless and we can really step up our game. Cutting-edge modern looks, classic elegance...you pick! Or do my personal fave and mix and match the two for some elegant edgy vibes. In the drama series power is everything, there are no limits, and trust is nonexistent for the royal family so gloves off on that red carpet and dance floor!
Queen Helena and princess Eleanor are my faves so naturally I hope you will channel them!
Shop the links directly or use it for inspiration! Whatever you decide, I got you ROYALS. (I combed the internet and tried to include all various price points too) The main thing I love about this year's theme is that you can reuse whatever you purchase again and again and I think that is so important! It's really about showing up in cocktail attire with a royal flare so do not fret.
Queen Helena: Though only a royal by marriage, Queen Helena (Hurley) rules 100 percent on the style front. She is a powerhouse and must always stand out. She loves structure and is not afraid of color. I also adore that she plays with texture a lot, especially lace giving everything that super feminine feeling. Her lace sheath dresses are actually my favorite. She also never forgets to adorn herself in all the bling-bling!
Princess Eleanor: Every monarchy needs a princess, but a dainty damsel Eleanor (Alexandra Park) does not make. Think more aristocrat Cressida Bonas, Prince Harry’s party-girl ex and Kate Moss. When channeling her think of grungy, urban, and edgy...a little bit rock n roll. She could easily mesh with the fashionistas in London's hip Shore ditch neighborhood and be Mary Kate Olsen's BFF. She is the ultimate party girl and is not afraid to show some skin. She is also not afraid to make a statement in more ways then one. You can have a lot of fun with this and take it many different directions. She is such a royal bad-ass and the reason we all tune in every week. Let's be honest. You will absolutely need a leather jacket, OTK boots, a concert tee, statement jewelry, and a mostly black and white color palette. See..you are a princess in the making!
You will not go wrong channeling these two. I promise ! And if someone could please buy me that Oscar de la Renta blue fur pearl adorned jacket in the photo at the top of the post I will forever be grateful. Ha. I would love to do that with a great black dress and put my creative spin on it.
ANYHOW....
Hope to see you there loves! Come ring in your new year with me!
