Glitter Guide for A Color Story=Bliss
1-17-17 is such a great day!
Many of you have asked which editing apps I use and which ones are my favorite. I will be sharing all of that detailed info in February's newsletter with some behind the scenes footage and my ins and outs of how I have managed to shoot quality photos with just an iPhone up until now. That will only go out to subscribers though so don't miss out! February is the month of love and it's also my birthday month and Go French Yourself turns one so the newsletter is going to be full of amazing presents for you all because I could not do any of this without you. I am giving away all kinds of fabulous tips and tricks to make your grams fabulous and free coffee...not even joking! You read that right. I love lattes and I want to share a latte with you!!
So one of my favorite editing apps that I want to share with the whole world is A Color Story. It's a popular photo editing app known for it's bold, bright and colorful preset filters. I fell in love with their vintage filters, especially the Summer of 59 and the Summer of 69 and Hair Band. These are my three go-to's. I love the rose gold filter too that sorta makes everything look like you are looking at it through rose tinted glasses. I was born in the wrong era, I just know it.
So I stalk Taylor Sterling from A Glitter Guide. I admit it. I am pretty obsessed with her and everything she does. She just created a custom collection of photo filters for The Color Story App called Flashes of Delight that launched today making 1.17.17 soooo fabulous!
She mentioned the company wanted her to create something that was more muted, soft and neutral, but that still held to its standard for enhancing the original photo with bright and beautiful color tones.
On The Glitter Guide blog today this is what Taylor had to say about the project...
"I immediately started creating mood boards for the various filters. I wanted them to feel like me, but also Glitter Guide. I wanted the filters to brighten the photos, but softly and with a glow that didn’t feel too saturated. I also liked the idea of them having subtle changes from filter to filter with only a few that were a bit more dramatic (like an orange or pink glow). We ended up with 14 amazing filters that I’m so proud of and have already thoroughly enjoyed using. I worked with a few amazing women to help create original photography to use for this collection and promotion. I teamed with Lisa Buhler of Lisa Says Gah, Haley Boyd of Marais USA and photographer Jeannette Lee, photographer Emily Scott, and Cassidy Frietas, Lace and Likes and Dulcet Creative. Their work truly brought this project to life and I can’t wait to share more of it with you soon. Each filter was named after various women (real or fictional) in my life who inspire me."
And you guys I am dying!!! I got a chance to play around with all 14 of the filters today and am sharing a few of my faves with you from my Tuesday. No back logged pictures, all from today. And today consisted of buying flowers for a Broker's event tomorrow in my home, some more home staging, a lovely walk with a girlfriend, and my dogs because well they are just the best! I had a pretty rough day yesterday where I just felt so unappreciated and invisible (more on that later in the week) and this totally brightened my mood. Thank you Taylor and A Color Story. You guys download this right NOW. Best 2.99 you will ever spend.
Soooo sooooo good!!! OBSESSED. I love editing pics and figuring out new plans and themes to keep my instagram evolving.
What is your favorite filter from this collection?!!!
