A Few Steps To A More Stylish Bathroom
Let’s face it: the bathroom can be a pretty utilitarian space. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. A few simple updates can transform your bathroom! It shouldn’t have to take a whole renovation to make it your happy place. You can knock out these styling tips this weekend!
Upgrade Your Linens
From a plush bath mat to super-soft towels, ( If you find frayed towels…it’s time to invest in some more my dears) the quickest and easiest way to level up your bathroom is to fill it with luxurious linens. You’ll smile every day when you wrap yourself in a thick, plush towel and step onto a soft and cushy bath mat. Matching towels too – It sounds simple, but you may be working with a varied collection of towels in various conditions or states of disrepair. A quick way to dress up your bathroom (and your experience using it) is to get a full matching set or set(s). We did lots of white sets and even a grey set ! I find grey in my guest bathroom makes my guests feel more comfortable!!
Bathmat – Don’t neglect this element, because it does get used every single day! Love this Cold Picnic Torso Bathmat in Cream from Need Supply. It’s cheeky and fun! It has non-slip latex backing. It’s 100% cotton and made in The USA. Purchase it here. It also comes in brown! You can also just get a boob option too.
Need Supply offers so many Cold Picnic options which you can find here. I love them all so much! Need Supply Co. is a clothing and lifestyle store based out of Richmond, VA. They started selling vintage Levi's in 1996 but have since expanded their offerings to include men's and women's clothing and accessories. In 2008 they launched a web store and have been shipping worldwide ever since. They truly believe in the products they carry, carefully curating a mix of well-known brands and up-and-coming independent designers from the US and abroad.
They believe in creating a unique retail experience, both in store and online. They believe in connecting their guests with the designers they love. They believe in great ideas, and doing things a little bit differently. They believe that a well designed product can have a very real and tangible effect on our everyday lives.
For your bathroom refresh do not forget the shower curtain! We personally do not have to worry about that in our place but I am kind of bummed because I am loving this Helix Shower Curtain from Need Supply!
Camouflage Your Toiletries
Nothing tarnishes your personal sanctuary more than toiletries strewn all over the counter. Take a cue from pro organizers and stash your stuff in a collection of cute containers. To elevate the look even further, try using a fancy dish for bar soap or a glam tumbler for toothbrushes. We love these storage boxes from Yamazaki. They feature a sleek, wood-handled bin and are perfect for storing products! We used ours to house all of our hair products. They are kept in our closet and we just carry the bin to the bathroom each time! It really is not a problem for us because this is so much better than just having our shower and bathroom vanity full of clutter! It just was not functional!
We love Yamazaki! Here is another blog post of some other things we have from them!
Add a Ledge
A small shelf can go a long way; so many bathrooms are short on both storage and space. And, while it can be challenging to find room for extra cabinets, you can almost always find a spot to fit a small shelf.
If you’re lacking vanity space, add a ledge above the sink for the little things you use every day. There’s also usually a lot of unused wall space above the toilet; install a few small, clear, glass shelves for extra storage that blends right in.
Super easy!!!! Right?!
