Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs Featuring Rao's Homemade
Well, my kids favorite meal I make is classic spaghetti and meatballs and it's SO good. I have made this one for many years ago and it remains on constant rotation. Even that sweet fox of mine loves this one and walks away from the table satisfied every time.
I was so excited to try my recipe tonight with some delish goodies from Rao’s Homemade®.
They are a family company that has been around since 1896. Their product line includes 100% natural homemade pasta sauces, Artisanal pasta, oils and vegetables and can be found in your local retail stores, specialty markets and restaurants. Their products can be customized to suit a variety of dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten-free, Whole 30 and paleo lifestyles.
Rao’s Homemade® is prepared with only the finest all-natural ingredients cooked in true Italian fashion. Good cooking is simple. It's called 'Pulito' - Italian for 'pure, clean.'
It’s the sauce…”
It’s always been about the sauce – from the moment the Rao family created the authentic Italian pasta sauces served in Rao’s legendary New York restaurant and later at Rao’s Las Vegas and Rao’s Los Angeles. And from the moment Frank Pellegrino Sr. decided to take those magical sauces, put them into jars and launch the Rao’s Homemade® premium pasta sauce brand – now the leading brand of premium pasta sauce in the world.
The sauce makes the meal. It’s the essence of the tastiest Italian dishes and pizzas. That’s why Rao’s Homemade® sauces contain only natural ingredients including 100% Italian tomatoes. No tomato blends, paste, water, starches, filler, colors or added sugar. It’s why they steam peel their precious tomatoes and use only pure Italian olive oil and fresh vegetables. And why their sauces are slow-simmered in small batches with ingredients added in the proper sequence and gently stirred.
The result? Authentic, nutritious, irresistibly delicious tomato sauce you can rely on for irresistibly delicious meals.
The pasta is divine too. Using Artisan methods, Rao’s Italian pastas are made from Durum wheat semolina flour and are pressed through actual die-cast molds to produce the different shapes and detailed exterior textures.
I cannot wait to prepare a chicken dish with their lemon cooking sauce this weekend.
Here is my simple recipe for my classic spaghetti and meatballs.
INGREDIENTS:
Meatballs:
2 pounds Ground Beef
3 cloves Garlic, Minced
3/4 cups Fine Bread Crumbs
3 whole Eggs
3/4 cups Freshly Grated Parmesan
1/4 cup Flat-leaf Parsley, Minced
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Splash Of Milk
1/2 cup Olive Oil
1 whole Yellow Onion, Diced
3 cloves Garlic, Minced
1 package Rao's Homemade Spaghetti Pasta, Cooked To Al Dente
1 24 ounce jar of Rao's Sauce
DIRECTIONS:
To make the meatballs, combine meat, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, eggs, salt, pepper, parsley, and a splash of milk in a mixing bowl. Mix together well with hands. Roll into 25 1 1/2-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet into the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes to firm up.
To brown the meatballs, heat olive oil in a heavy pot or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs 8 at a time, turning to brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel after each batch. Set meatballs aside.
Warm sauce in a pan.
Add meatballs to pot and stir in gently ----stirring very gently a couple of times during the simmer.
Just before serving, stir in basil if using.
Serve over cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
Sooooo soooooo delicious.
Thank you so much Rao’s Homemade®!!
