Frozen Peach Margarita Recipe Featuring Tequila Zarpado
I don’t think a summer cocktail exists that’s better than a simple, no-frills frozen margarita made with a good tequila and fresh peaches! In fact - I believe your Labor Day party is begging for these! Fajitas and margaritas -what’s not to love?!!
That’s right, no sweet-and-sour or triple sec in this blend, my friends – and it really makes all the difference.
Tequila Zarpado is handcrafted from 100% mature Blue Agave grown in Los Valles of Jalisco. This Tequila is double-distilled and made in small batches at a family-owned distillery. Their process fuses tradition with the family's own methods to produce Tequila that is rich and elegant.
Love a good label too! And this one is just super . The original artwork and illustrations are by Joaquin Nava !
Here is my frozen peach margarita recipe made with Tequila Zarpado ! They are quite delicious and are just the perfect farewell to summer.
Frozen Peach Margarita
Makes about 4 servings
Ingredients:
3 cups fresh peaches (you can use frozen but fresh are sweeter)
kosher salt or coarsely ground sea salt
½ cup Tequila Zarpado
juice of 2 fresh limes
juice of 1 large orange (blood oranges work well too if they’re in season!)
1 teaspoon light agave nectar
1 cup crushed ice
Instructions:
1. Add your fresh peaches, tequila, orange and lime juices, agave nectar, and crushed ice to a blender. Blend on medium, then high to mix thoroughly.
2. Optional: While your margaritas are blending, run a lime wedge around the edge of your margarita glasses . Then, pour your sea salt into a small plate, turn the glasses upside-down, and “spin” the rims into the salt, covered them.
3. Pour peach margarita mixture into salt-rimmed glasses, and garnish with lime wedges. Enjoy!
CHEERS!
