Happy October!!!!!!!

Can't think of better way to kick off the spooky month then with a spooky recipe for you.

One of my favorite holidays is soon approaching and I cannot wait. So many of my good friends now have kiddos so the times have changed and it seems like we now celebrate Halloween with the littles. And it truly is such a blast having a little fun together the weekend before or after Halloween. (Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year)

And I love the idea of bringing back the classic Halloween party the way I celebrated when I was younger with bobbing for apples and watching the infamous It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. And of course festive treats and a spooky punch are a must!

I was so excited when Welch's sent me a brand new product (They have it two delish flavors-- Tropical Berry Grape & White Grape Mango) they now have that offers some amazing benefits.  Welch’s 100% Juice WITH Coconut Water is the latest rage in my house that honestly completely inspired my Halloween punch. It still has the great taste of 100% juice but with 30% less sugar--so perfect for the kiddos and us adults with it being only100 calories for each serving. I adore the fact that their is no added artificial flavors and 2 servings for fruit in every 8oz glass. My daughter is pretty skeptical of coconut water because of the taste so I am thrilled about this.

It has also been the most refreshing post workout drink for me too because it tastes so good and is so incredibly hydrating. You can catch more info on that post Monday as I really want to talk to you further about this fantastic stuff.

So I did a little practice run at a kid-friendly punch yesterday and oh-em-geeee, it was absolutely delicious and so simple. I cannot to make it for Halloween. I even hit up my local dollar store and found those great spiders pictured and they were the perfect final touch to my punch. They have a velvety feel and look so good!

Here is the recipe for you so please replicate this and share it with your friends. (You can find it at your local Supermarket..I found mine at Walmart in the juice aisle)

Spooky Halloween Punch

Ingredients

Directions

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl and serve cold. The worms will sink to the bottom. But if your punch bowl is clear like mine, it still creates a great spooky effect. And then as you are individually serving glasses you can let each child put their owns worms in their cup.

Tip: Freeze a portion of the mixture in a few ice trays to keep the punch cold and prevent it from getting watered down with regular ice cubes.
