Handmade Clay Jewelry -Featuring Hello Zephyr
zephyr. the god of the wind. a gentle breeze from the West.
Hello Zephyr is a jewelry brand embodying a contemporary and minimalist aesthetic. The pieces are handcrafted and one of a kind. Continuously inspired by their family travels, countries, cultures and citizens.
Hello Zephyr is dedicated to organic growth. They are a small family business working to create durable and quality products, produced ethically and sustainably at their home studio in the French Alps. Their suppliers partners are, like them, independent small companies. To reduce their environmental footprint they have zero waste of polymer clay. They make an upscale use of this material, creating small amounts of jewelry and reusing all the clay scraps. And I am in love!!!!! Gabriela Maraschin has such a special eye and these pieces are just so special.
I have two beautiful necklaces!
The first is the TEJO necklace. This beauty is from her Lisboa Collection! Lisbon is situated on the northern banks of the Tejo, the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. It's slow flowing waters helped create Lisbon the magnificent and vibrant city that it is today. The necklace is made with polymer clay and an adjustable leather cord - around 30". I really love being able to wear it so many different ways!!! It’s such a conversation starter too!
The other necklace I have is the Pacific Coast Necklace from her California Collection! Made with polymer clay and leather cord 30". The length is adjustable which is really nice!
Be sure to check out her SAINT TROPEZ collection!!!
They always wanted to give their jewelry the real perfect shapes of nature. After months of experiments they finally found a way to extract them directly from natural elements as rocks. For this first collection using a new firing technique they collected stones from the Mediterranean sea. During the process of baking, the clay interacts and earn the delicate lines and textures from Mother Earth. Given the unique origin of this technique, earrings may vary slightly. And they are all so gorgeous! Like they seriously make me want to run out and pierce my ears right away!
The BARDOT earrings are incredible!!! In the 60’s and 70’s, Brigitte Bardot embodied the notion of French chic. Sex symbol, she put Saint Tropez on the map when she arrived on the village to shoot the movie “Et Dieu créa la femme…”. And why I have not seen this movie..I have no clue but I am watching it right away and adding it my francophile movie list!
And The La Madrague earrings are incredible too!!! The Madrague was an old theater and place of great festivities in Saint Tropez. Many artists like Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon and Sacha Distel have played there. Nowadays, La Madrague is home to Brigitte Bardot.
Anyway have a look for yourself !
