Pattern Play Tablescape With Pepper Home
Fall kicks off all the best celebrations of the year and I get most excited about decorating for them. Eating, of course is extremely exciting too, but decorating comes first! Setting a beautiful table is one of the most simple ways to express your love & gratitude for someone. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive to make it unique… a little creativity and intention can easily make even the most simple tablescape stand out in such a beautiful way!
Really these are the 5 key components!
Napkins + Placemats with fun colors or patterns, that are folded (or wrapped or knotted!) in unique ways is a simple way to add a little extra color, texture and excitement to your tablescape!
Silverware placement is something that I love to play around with (& break all of the rules). Crisscrossing, stacked above the plate, forks on the right side... get crazy! Silverware also help set the stage for the style or mood you’re going for.. modern, traditional, vintage, etc.
Table runners can be anything from ceramic tiles, to hand placed greenery, to ripped material with raw edges.. I love experimenting and using unconventional objects and materials to create something extra unique and fun.
Glassware is the #1 way to add height to your table! I recommend pairing a tall glass with a shorter glass in order to create dimension.
Candles can accentuate and pull in the main color of your table, plus they really set the mood.
And even if you just concentrate on one key component I would always start with napkins + placemats. Table linens instantly add so much personality and make meals so elegant and fun.
I am loving everything from Pepper Home right now! Their patterns and products are made beautifully, made well and made for major impact so that every time you open your door, you know you’ve arrived.
I love the Blake Placemats. The Blake print is a modern take on a classic floral motif that is utterly chic and wildly sophisticated. Pepper Home made the Blake placemat even more appealing by incorporating a pink embroidered edge. To really play up that pattern play I went with the Carolina Napkins! They are so pretty in pink and oh so gorgeous with the Blake print!
I really love this combo so much that I am even going to use these for my holiday tablescape!!! See the photos below. I used a blue velvet ribbon too for a pop of color and it’s really just so unexpected and festive!
Gorgeous, right?! Gah..I am so ready for the holidays!!!
Pepper Home not only creates the most beautiful table linens but they create pillows and curtains too. The Balzary Throw Pillow is so fun! And those Victoria curtain?!! Gasp. I love how everything is so great for mixing and matching too and they give you recommendations also for playing with patterns.
