Slow Cooker Burgundy Mushrooms

Burgundy Mushrooms are the ultimate mushroom. Slow simmered in red wine, garlic, butter, and spices -these mushrooms are simply decadent. You can enjoy them as an appetizer or serve them over a delicious steak or even meatloaf and mashed potatoes! We love these mushrooms so much!

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 lbs White Button Mushrooms, washed (they cook down significantly so you really need 4 pounds! LOL!

  • 1 stick of butter

  • 1 ½ tsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 750 ml Burgundy Wine (any full-bodied red wine can be subbed)

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

  • 2 cups chicken or beef broth

  • 2 whole Chicken Bouillon Cubes or Beef Bouillon Cubes

  • 1 tsp Dill Seed

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

Slow Cooker Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a slow cooker.

  • Cook on low for 8-9 hours.

  • Serve from the slow cooker or pour into a serving dish. Serve over a steak, meatloaf with potatoes, or as an appetizer.
