Slow Cooker Burgundy Mushrooms
Burgundy Mushrooms are the ultimate mushroom. Slow simmered in red wine, garlic, butter, and spices -these mushrooms are simply decadent. You can enjoy them as an appetizer or serve them over a delicious steak or even meatloaf and mashed potatoes! We love these mushrooms so much!
RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
4 lbs White Button Mushrooms, washed (they cook down significantly so you really need 4 pounds! LOL!
1 stick of butter
1 ½ tsp Worcestershire Sauce
750 ml Burgundy Wine (any full-bodied red wine can be subbed)
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 cups chicken or beef broth
2 whole Chicken Bouillon Cubes or Beef Bouillon Cubes
1 tsp Dill Seed
2 tsp garlic powder
Slow Cooker Instructions
Place all ingredients into a slow cooker.
Cook on low for 8-9 hours.
Serve from the slow cooker or pour into a serving dish. Serve over a steak, meatloaf with potatoes, or as an appetizer.
