The Most Fab Air BnB In Dallas- The Bishop Arts
I have ALWAYS had a thing for good ole Oak Cliff even before it was a thing!
And if you are looking for that BIG D quintessential Dallas experience--you want to stay in The Bishop Arts District! It's only minutes from downtown.
And we found the most adorable Air BnB in the greatest location in The Bishop. I am honestly so foreign to Air BnB because myself and friends have found in the past, there's the early check-out/nowhere to leave your bags/the chore of making sure the place is spotless when you leave debacle that quite honestly, I can't be bothered with. Plus you always feel so guilty to have to call that you need something and I have no idea why because it's not like you are renting the home for free.
But I am trying to branch out this year and really navigate my way through this whole Air BnB thing. But baby steps...I really look for properties that hosts don't live in on the regular and if they have a situation where we do not even have to meet, even better. Self Check-In is a huge plus in my book.
And booking at The Grande Series (Grande & Muy Extra Grande suites) was the perfect decision. We typically stay at The Belmont but have to LYFT to The Bishop Arts. Staying at this Air BnB, we could walk anywhere in the Bishop--literally like two seconds to Odd Fellows--my very fave brunch spot in The O.C.
So we rented the Muy Extra Grande suite from John and Erin who are like the sweetest people ever. Muy Extra Grade is your modern, completely furnished home away from home. This unit is suitable for one night stays or week long vacations. Muy Extra Grande is on the second floor of a completely renovated 1930’s building in the heart of the historic Bishop Arts District. Need another room? Grande is the big brother to ‘Grande,’ book both for larger parties. The space was designed by John and Erin who also own the neighborhood store and gallery next to Eno's and curated with local Texas art and modern furnishings from Blu Dot. This suite is fully loaded and ready for your Dallas holiday. We loved the balcony there to enjoy some fresh air with that morning Cultivar. And the art is so amazing too. It's by some of John and Erin's fave artists,--Carlos Donjuan, Trevor Shin, and Emil Rapstine.
Let's have a look around, shall we?

Some of my Bishop District faves are--
The Wild Detectives- Indie bookstore & cafe offering a variety of titles, light fare & drinks, author readings & music.
Harkensback-- Gorgeous leather goods, clothing, and apothecary.
Eno's Pizza Tavern--Farm-to-table ingredients on thin-crust pizza, pastas and more. Many craft beers on tap too.
Oddfellows- Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus all showcase farm-fresh ingredients in casual-chic atmosphere.
Have fun in The BIG D!
