Your Total Solar Eclipse Playlist And a Few Words From A Fish

Well hello there three day weekend...I mean is anyone planning on actually working Monday?!! Well..if you are and will not be able to view the solar eclipse perhaps this playlist will help you achieve a feeling of totality. And if you are throwing a party....you are welcome as you can now cross off " make a playlist' off of your very long "to-do" list. 

And for those of us who will not get to experience the absolution of celestial darkness...Hello me....at least we have music that can get us in touch with both our inner and outer selves.

I have friends getting way into it.....they have bought the sun chips, the moon pies, the Blue-Moon beers.....made Eclipse cookies....and I don't even know what else because I honestly checked out days ago--like it's overwhelming us water signs---like have fun with your parties but there are people really feeling the cosmic pains out there and it's intense and terrible. 

The ancients often believed a celestial event like an eclipse to be a bad omen....a sign of devastation or destruction to come..

Okay, yes, a tad dramatic..maybe?! All though I do think they were wise ...and the world is a mess currently. Something big is going to happen soon...and it's scary. 

 But this solar eclipse is happening during Mercury Retrograde and it's already having a pretty BIG effect on my life. Already feeling drained and over extended as I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. It's true...don't under estimate us fish. We carry all your shit around plus ours plus the worlds.....and I have nothing to give at the moment.

I won't be attending a party, I won't be doing anything ...except for hiding. Seriously....I might go to my happy place which is water. 

While the actual solar eclipse will only last two minutes, according to Astrologist Lynn Koiner it can affect you for three-to-six months before it happens, and for up to one year afterward. So yay..it better be good.......or lord help me...

My friend Courtney reminded me about the cosmic pains and that shit happens so the shift can happen....so I am just trying to trust that and remember this too shall pass. 

Solar eclipses signify new beginnings, and the Astro Twins noted that eclipses can usher in the unexpected, which can force you into action whether you'e ready or not. It's not a bad idea to consider a new moon/solar eclipse ritual to set your intentions. I will be setting some serious intentions around goal clarity in my life...I also have some deep deep baggage I am needing to release and am hoping that I can move forward on a clean slate in this new beginning. I think Leo gets the clean slate though from what I have been reading....

I feel the energy all around me and I just need to sleep this one off.....

If you are in the same boat as me...feeling completely depleted....try doing some grounding exercises and eat all the root vegetables you can get your hands on. For those sensitive souls out there, you may have been feeling the energies intensifying as the August Solar Eclipse gets closer and she is now soooo close......so just be gentle with yourself and practice lots of self love and self care. I am doing the same.....a minute at a time...
