Zilker Belts is an amazing small business based in Austin Texas that creates incredible dog collars, belts, and even hats and wallets!!! Made from world-class quality leather and featuring vibrant colors, hand-stitched patterns, they are such impressive works of art and make the perfect accessory for the dog and person you love!
I was fortunate enough to receive two leather collars and a belt from Zilker and I am more than pleased with the products I received.
You can tell the collars and belt are handmade and high quality, and that the artisans take time making these pieces! Zilker Belts was founded in 2015 after being inspired by the passion, pride, and craftsmanship found in Argentina by Co-Founders Wade Green and Hill Shands. The belts and dog collars are wearable works of art that draw inspiration from the traditional gaucho style and some of their favorite local icons like Deep Eddy, Antone’s, Willie, and Austin City Limits. (Gosh, I miss Austin terribly….! For those just following me, Austin is like a second home to me. I almost moved there but then met Rodge who had a company here in Tulsa)

They believe in thinking globally and acting locally; from the ethical, hand-crafted manufacturing process and close relationships they've developed with their Argentine partners, to the local causes they support. They focus their support on three great non-profit organizations: Austin Sunshine Camps (ASC), Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), and Save Muny. Their connection runs deep to these causes. Wade and Hill proudly served on the ASC Board together for nearly a decade, along with a few years on the HAAM fundraising committee, and continue their involvement by donating a portion of proceeds from their Sunshine and Antone’s belts. The Sunshine Camps are also located in Zilker Park, the place that inspired their company’s name.
The collars I received for Henry and Melvin are so lovely! I am constantly getting compliments on them! The detail and the texture of the collar is so beautiful, it is more than worth the money you spend for it! The collar itself stands up amazingly to wear and tear. I have been using it daily for a few weeks now, and it still looks as sharp and crisp as it did when it first arrived. It is easy to clean, fits my dog comfortably, doesn't damage the fur, and looks phenomenal. The hardware used is very sturdy and heavy duty, while the leather itself feels like it is going to last forever and ever!
