The best horror movies are the ones that never truly leave your mind's eye even once the credits have rolled. They're the ones that give you fears you'd never even considered before. I am so looking forward to the spooky season!!!!! Halloween is my favorite!

Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission! Let the sisterhood blossom ladies! Happy Women’s Equality Day!! 🌸
Inspired by two brands I want to share for #WomensEqualityDay should you want to do some online shopping this afternoon!!
Love starting my week with Francoise Hardy, France Amerique Magazine, and strong coffee! This one is from Gobena Coffee. This Fair Trade Organic Nicaraguan coffee is a well-balanced dark roast with medium body with notes of brown sugar and plum. When you choose Fair Trade Certified you get quality coffee that improves lives of the farmers and protects the environment. This coffee comes from the SOPPEXCA Cooperative where 650 small family farms have joined together to grow and process some of the best coffee in Nicaragua. Every dollar of profit goes to caring for orphaned children around the world!

We have been home since early March and I know we both have been craving a major change of scenery so I decided we could get our feet wet with a little two day trip to OKC. The drive (yay for driving because you could not pay me to get on a plane right now) is less than two hours from Tulsa so we would not have to use a public restroom. (STILL not okay with the idea of having to use a public restroom and not sure when I will be)
I feel like the rest of 2020 will be devoted devoted to all things in close to home showing some love to our home state! Anyway….I teamed up with The Ambassador OKC , Autograph Collection for our little adventure ! I have been following them for quite some time and have been impressed with how they are being super safe for their hotel guests.
Read MoreThese last few months have awakened mine and Lin’s relationship! I truly believe that. We have been able to focus on what is most important in our lives. Slowing down has just been the best thing that could happen in so many ways.
Our love and our love for baking has grown! And we have been using Hiland products as we recreate these family recipes. Lin’s mom says you cannot bake without Hiland butter and I would agree! (wisest lady) Hiland’s butter is made with the freshest ingredients! It’s so creamy. And from smooth and spreadable to solid and salted, Hiland has butter for your every baking need. We always have it on hand.

Read MoreWe begin the 8th week of self isolating today and I have to admit..I have not minded too much of it. Lin and I were talking last night over dinner and discussing the things we have enjoyed during this whole process. I have been appreciating a slower life and a more open calendar. There’s nowhere I need to be, no rushing around to get somewhere, and not a lot of FOMO aside as I tend to retreat in the warmer weather anyhow! (fall-winter baby over here) We have been enjoying cooking our own meals at home more too where before we would eat out at least twice a week! It gets so expensive and you really have no idea how restaurants are preparing your food!
Read MoreEvery time I visit Carlton Landing, I enjoy it more and more. As a creature of habit, I do tend to visit a lot of the same places because I love them, but always add something new to my trip each time.
At the beginning of November (where did the month go?), I whisked my friends away to Carlton Landing for a fun couple’s weekend. I had never experienced fall in Carlton Landing and I kept hearing that it was actually the favorite season of many locals who live in CL full time! It was also Brooke and Eric’s 6 year anniversary so the weekend away was perfect timing for this fall couple’s retreat.
First things first..stop at the local liquor store to grab some wine and beer!! The other couple’s were in charge of food.

After determining there was no magical concealer, cream, or over-the-counter treatment to address my under eye problems, I decided to start researching fillers and reached out to Fig Medical Spa here in Tulsa to learn more about the entire process. I had always seen amazing under eye filler before and afters, and I was really curious to see if I could get good results!
My Under Eye Fillers Consultation
After chatting with Fig Medical Spa, they set up an appointment for me with Cristie Lehr-Hawkins, M.D. She is a certified Radiologist with special interest and additional training in aesthetics, regenerative medicine, and Phlebology.
Read MoreToday is NATIONAL MAMMOGRAPHY DAY and I wanted to share a personal story with you all…
National Mammography Day is observed annually on the third Friday in October as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This day serves as a reminder to all women that the best defense is early detection. A mammogram can often detect a problem before there is any outward physical sign. Make sure you get your regular checkups.
The story of my mammogram…
Let me start off by saying, breast cancer does not run in my family.

I am so excited to have started a 30 day sugar detox on Monday. I am on day 4 now and really loving it!
Check it out over on my Instagram to get all the details. I made a permanent story on my Hi-lights titled Sugar Detox. (It has the little watermelon cover)
About once every two months or so, I start to feel like I need to reboot my system. I have always found that giving my body a little detox is always a grand idea and I feel so much better afterward. I feel so much healthier and have such a better grasp on making better choices.
There are plenty of fantastic dads out there. My Rodge is one. My grandfather Kelsey is another. And my dad Mark tried the best he could even though we do not have a relationship currently. I’ve known dads who’ve have fatherhood thrown upon them at a young age and yet have handled it with grace and maturity beyond their years, but this Father’s Day I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the dads that didn’t have to be. I’m talking about parenting a child that isn’t biologically yours. This post is dedicated to the dads that choose not just to parent someone else’s child, but chose to love them as their own. I want to dedicate this post to my step father Albert because he deserves recognition this Father’s Day for being the unsung hero of fatherhood. I grew up with him in my very difficult younger teenage years and he was the one fighting in the trenches, helping me with homework (he is so great at math and I am the worst) ,driving me to and from everywhere, and in general doing the heavy lifting of parenting for most of my life, especially to my younger siblings.
