Read MoreI am so excited to tell you all about Falcon Enamelware today! I first introduced you to Falcon a few weeks ago when I shared a recipe for a Cherry Clafouti and today I am going to share two more recipes I made recently using my Falcon pieces!
Enamelware is so beautiful, so functional, and so light and compact to store. We have very little storage in our kitchen and an open pantry so Falcon really suits us perfectly. It’s also so easy to clean. It’s timeless and durable! Falcon is a UK company that now ships to the US, which is great because their quality and colors are the best out there. Enamelware is also great for camping trips as it packs light to stay nimble and agile on your travels! So it’s just incredibly versatile.
SINCE THE 1920S FALCON ENAMELWARE HAS BEEN AN ICON OF BRITISH HOME LIFE.

On ne compte plus les marques et produits de consommation qui font rèference á Versailles, Louis XIV et Marie-Antoinette, devenus synonymes, parfois kitsch, de luxe á la francaise.

And I have the perfect little recipe for you to make today for either The 4th of July or Bastille Day. (Le 14 Juillet) Plus hello cherries! I love celebrating cherry season with a Julia Child classic!!! With ample pockets of fruit and a texture somewhere in between a custard, a cake, and a dutch baby, the clafouti (pronounced kla-foo-tee) is a classic French dessert that should be on your radar. Traditionally (and in this Julia Child recipe) sweet, dark Summer cherries are the fruit of choice, though berries or diced stone fruit (like plums or nectarines) also work wonderfully with the puffy custard base.

My absolute favorite item was the PAPIER D’ARMENIE SCENTED FRAGRANCE STRIPS…..
Older than the Eiffel Tower, Papier d’Arménie was born in Paris in 1885 as a result of the experiments of a chemist and a scientist. The idea came from a travel to Armenia, country where the benzoin resin, derived from the bark of trees – the major ingredient of the booklet – was used to purify the air.

I am always striving hard to ensure my guest room offers all the comforts a visitor could hope for. The key to offering a pleasurable stay is anticipating the needs of your guests and providing these things in easy to find places so they don’t need to search or ask. A bedside tray with fresh water is one of my absolute musts.

I’m quite proud to report that I have loved penning letters to friends and gifting baked goods just because. One thing that’s helped keep the excitement going is always having beautiful stationery on hand! And Papier has the most exquisite stationary!

As difficult of a time as this is for so many businesses- especially those in the tourism space - I personally am really loving seeing so many wonderful people getting creative with their offerings. So for today’s #FrenchFridaysWithGFY feature I want to tell you about La Peetch.
La Pitchoune or 'La Peetch' was the summer home of Paul and Julia Child for nearly 3 decades. Built on the homestead of Simone Beck, known as Bramafam, La Pitchoune was the house 'Built on Friendship'. Julia Child, after the death of her beloved, left La Pitchoune back with the Beck family.
Bonne fête des mères à toutes les mamans. Je vous souhaite tout l'amour et le bonheur que vous méritez amplement.

Morning rituals with @clarinsusa . Clarins gifted me this perfect lift-sculpt treatment for visibly maintaining the youthful look of the neck and décolleté. Oui! Yes! I will take all the lifting and firming. (40 is a bit cruel. )
My skin is visibly firmer, smoother, more toned and even with results that improve day after day. #ClarinsSkinCare can always be trusted to do exactly what it says!
Chicken Francese isn’t as well known a recipe but the flavors are as special as your favorite French restaurant in my opinion!
WHAT DOES “FRANCESE” MEAN?
It means “French style,” or “the French way,” but what it refers to is chicken fried in a flour mixture and egg wash with citrus juice until golden brown. Chefs aren’t entirely sure where the term originated, but cooking chicken “the French way” certainly makes for a tasty meal.
Read MoreI hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. There are so many things we love about Easter — sweet memories of egg hunts, children in adorable outfits, and the promise of spring. This one was certainly one to remember…that’s for sure.
It seems my kitchen is turning out kitschy holiday dessert at every occasion these days…actually there does not have to really even be a special occasion anymore. LOL! But I have loved every second of expanding my horizons as a baker.
