I’ve always been pretty good at keeping things tidy and picked up, but tasks like wiping down cabinets, dusting furniture and baseboards, scrubbing tubs…. (in other words, the things that make a house feel really clean) can fall by the wayside when life get busy. And my life is super busy!

Anyway, I hope Lila is happy with how I have kept up around here when she comes back. I’ve found that it’s infinitely more manageable when I stick to a weekly schedule where I check a couple of house cleaning tasks off my list each day. (thanks Katie..this was a life saving tip when I was falling apart) It’s all about habit, right?

Today I have teamed up with Supernatural and I know you are really going to fall in love with them, especially if you love essential oils! I have been using these products for about two months now and I can truthfully tell you Lin and I will never stop using them!

When was the last time you got excited about toilet paper? I’m willing to guess you’ve NEVER been excited about toilet paper, and you’re not alone. All though with the toilet paper shortage these days…I do find myself getting excited about TP deliveries in our Instacart orders. Our bathrooms also have zero storage space. Like, zero. I have to work really hard at keeping things organized, towels neatly folded, and my toilet paper properly arranged. There's no stashing TP behind a cabinet door in my bathroom. So, beyond tossing a few sad-looking mega-rolls in some sort of storage container, what's a girl to do? When I was in NYC last fall I started to see beautifully packaged toilet paper everywhere. Like of course NY restaurants and boutiques would have pretty fashionable TP! LOL! I of course snapped photos for some later research!

We begin the 8th week of self isolating today and I have to admit..I have not minded too much of it. Lin and I were talking last night over dinner and discussing the things we have enjoyed during this whole process. I have been appreciating a slower life and a more open calendar. There’s nowhere I need to be, no rushing around to get somewhere, and not a lot of FOMO aside as I tend to retreat in the warmer weather anyhow! (fall-winter baby over here) We have been enjoying cooking our own meals at home more too where before we would eat out at least twice a week! It gets so expensive and you really have no idea how restaurants are preparing your food!
