Everything Your Skin Needs In Just 2 Products- Vintner's Daughter

You can definitely “overdose” on skincare products and I’ll be first to admit I’ve been guilty of doing so on more than one occasion. Because I tend to write about and review beauty products I sample a number of products before recommending them to you guys!! And sometimes I go overboard with my regimen and suffer the side effects. Luckily the skin is a pretty resilient organ and can easily bounce back with a little TLC.

Recognizing that everyone’s skin is different (which is why a regimen should be tailored to your specific needs), I do believe that most individuals need a basic routine of cleansing twice daily, applying a light moisturizer when dry, and protecting with sunscreen. That being said I’ve seen women with flawless skin who do absolutely nothing – they routinely fall asleep in their make up and just rinse their skin with plain tap water. Ohhh the envy! Because I did not win that genetic lottery like Lin’s family. I mean do you guys know how old Lin is even?!

If I tell you…I really think you might pass out!!

Olive Oil That Is Beautiful Inside And Out: Brightland Along With A Vanilla Ice Cream with Lucid Olive Oil and Sea Salt Recipe

Like most born entrepreneurs, Aishwarya Lyer doesn’t follow a prescribed path. Raised in an immigrant household, she was taught a strong and focused work ethic from an early age. But that didn’t stop her from exploring: Iyer started her career in L’Oreal’s luxury products division at Lancôme, which sparked her interest in memorable luxury brands. Afterward, she spent nearly a decade in communications and advisory roles at start-ups and tech companies including ff Venture Capital, SecondMarket and Whisper. That’s when she first put her entrepreneurial spirit to work: In 2016, she co-founded Ellephant Partners, a strategic communications firm specializing in venture-backed technology companies.

The following year, the innovator found herself driven again to start her own venture: Inspired by her lush California surroundings and intel on the sub-par and corrupt state of American olive oil, she went on a mission to bring new energy and change to the industry, founding Brightland—a line of premium, custom-blended extra virgin olive oil “that is nourishing for the body, heart and soul.”

Healthy Scalp With Oribe

Confession time!!

My scalp is a dry flakey mess. I would like to add “in winter” to that statement to make myself feel better about it but that would be a lie. I’m a person who is suffering from embarrassing dandruff!! It’s super sexy with my dark locks and dark clothing too…let me tell you! My hairdresser Kendal swears it is because I am not washing my scalp as well as I should be.

I’m already a fan of Oribe, they can do no wrong in my book, so when I saw they had an anti-dandruff shampoo along with a whole Serene Scalp product range I knew I had to try it!! Clearly the products I have been using our not helping my flaky issues.

LAISSEZ LES BONS TEMPS ROULER!” (“LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!”)

We all can't all head to Naw'lins for the madness of Mardi Gras, which falls on Tuesday, Feb. 25th this year, but we can all make a favorite Creole or Cajun dish for serving at home. Or, why not enjoy a full-blown Mardi Gras celebration? Make out the menu, invite people over, turn on the Zydeco tunes and pretend your dining room is a fancy eatery in the French Quarter, following the unofficial motto of New Orleans, "laissez les bon temps roulet," or "let the good times roll." Don't forget the beads, lots of them!!!

For me gumbo is a must.

Beautiful Modern Ceramics For Your Tabletop featuring EARL Home

When designing your home, it’s important to remember that not all artwork hangs on your walls. Beautifully crafted modern ceramics are truly works of art in and of themselves, and adding those one-of-a-kind items (you know, the ones that you can’t seem to get out of your head even after you’ve left the shop or website) is an easy way to infuse your personality into a space. Of course, one-off pieces can get expensive since you’re paying for the artist’s time, skill, eye, and materials, and then usually a markup at the retail level but these are the items in my home that I just love and treasure forever!!!! EARL is making crazy beautiful things (love you guys!), and I am so honored to now have 4 of their gorgeous cereal bowls in my possession!!! We use these for soups, stir fry, pasta, and of course cereal!!!!

Gidon Bing Ceramics

Designed and produced from a modest boatshed atelier and basement studios, Gidon Bing Ceramics are sold and collected worldwide. New York, LA, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen and have featured in Selfridges of London and Milan's Salone del Mobile among others. The latest collection draws inspiration from the power and presence of reductive forms – a natural extension of Gidons sculptural practice, where a fascination with the relationship between biological asymmetry and the artifact is explored.

Many of these ceramic objects are modeled and formed using techniques such as traditional Japanese wood bending, carving, plaster turning and mould making together with more contemporary approaches such as 3d printing and multi axis cnc. These processes form part of Gidons unique sculptural approach to designing and producing ceramics.

Meet The Maker: Catherine Rising Giveaway

The art of smudging, or burning particular herbs as incense to cleanse space and spirit has been around for thousands of years and, in today’s world, it is a deeply calming and beautiful ritual to return to.

This simple idea of burning of herbs as part of rituals has been used by many cultures and religions from the ancient Egyptians to the Roman Catholic Church. Smudge sticks are probably most often identified with the North American Indian cultures. White sage and sweet grass were commonly used. Their traditions believed that the smoke of white sage would banish any negative energy or spirits from a person or place, while the smoke of sweet grass would attract positive energy.
