Super Functional Ziggy Table

We share an office space….and well-that was no longer going to work if either one of us wanted to keep sane. LOL.

I saw this gorgeous Ziggy Table online one day and knew it would be a super functional piece for us! It’s modular and lightweight! Well, and it’s easy on the eyes. Designed by Brad Ascalon for Hightower, the Ziggy Table and Stool are wedge-shaped with a 60-degree angle, so they can be pushed together into a group of six tables. The leather stool fits perfectly beneath the wood-and-steel table, and the tables are stackable with each other for convenient storage. You can also mix and match, pulling the table up to a couch or the stool up to a different table or desk.

Apart from social distancing, your first and immediate line of defense in these COVID-19 times is your immune system. Providing your body with enough nutrients is one way of ensuring you stay safe and far away from infections. And in this heat, (where the heck is fall BTW?) what’s better than having some refreshing, fall, Halloween mocktails, that double up as immunity boosters?!!!!!

I just came off of a Whole30 where alcohol is a huge no-no and I actually enjoyed not having alcohol so much that I have decided to see how long I can go without booze!

For our jar, we put all our favorites in so we ended up with a huge variety. Lin created his. I created mine. Then once we draw a name…let’s say Ethan Hawke (my lord..I love a young Ethan Hawke so much ) is drawn , then we do a search on apple tv of his name and all of the movies he ever played in pop up and we pick one together as a couple!!!! So we still can talk and decide as a pair but we at least have a starting point!

Modern Condo Renovation

Taking a little trip down memory lane today when I interviewed my very own silver fox for a GFY feature!

Lin practiced as an engineer in his career starting his own very successful company but has a degree in architecture that he mainly used for himself. He also started a small side company Green Tooth LLC to design properties in an ecological and sustainable matter. He has always been interested in breathing new life into older buildings.

Checkout the canvas of the space before before construction began! Eeek! Terrifying! The space was mostly ALL original. The floor plan was very formal and everything was cut up into distinct rooms so it was not open at all. The space did not take advantage of the natural light and balance that was possible making the space feel dark and cold. Every room was painted a different color too so nothing was cohesive.
