For those of you who follow me you know that I am learning French!

And a huge part of mastering the language is really immersing yourself in the language as much as possible. Practice does indeed make perfect! One advantage of this quarantine is I have had lots of free time to dedicate to my language practice.

C'est en forgeant qu'on devient forgeron!

My French tutor introduced me to France-Amérique and I am so in love with this publication. Founded in 1943 by French exiles in New York, France-Amérique is the only bilingual French-English publication in the United States. Every month, the France-Amérique print magazine offers a compilation of portraits, reports, essays, and interviews to inspire thought and debate, combined with an elegant design and high-quality images. The publication analyzes French life and art de vivre, and offers a unique connection to the French cultural scene in the United States. Thanks to its bilingual format, France-Amérique attracts students of French and English who use the magazine to improve their written comprehension in both languages.

From threadbare rooms in the Latin Quarter frequented by American bohemians to luxury palaces on the Riviera, French hotels have a special place in the collective imagination of the United States.
