Styling The Table For Easter

April is in full swing, which means store shelves are surely brimming with Cadbury eggs and cute little bunnies as the countdown to Easter begins. It’s looking a little different around here this year in quarantine! It will just be Lin and I this year ( sad because originally Lin’s son and daughter in law along with the two boys were planning on visiting) Anyway..trying to keep things happy, beautiful, and festive around here so I decided to put together a little spring Easter table that looks modern and bright! I did not shop for new things as I normally do so I used pieces that I already had with the exception of a brand new linen tablecloth from Rough Linen. I love it so much so it was exciting to use this as the star piece for my Easter tablescape.

We have always just kept the marble Euro Saaringen bare so it’s been really fun seeing “him” draped in this gorgeous heavyweight Orkney linen. It really warms up the space and compliments our color palette as the tablecloth is a beautiful pastel. They call it dusk and I can see why! It looks like a gorgeous cotton candy sunset when the light hits it just right! It really showcases several dusk variations in different lighting which I really love too.

Rough Linen’s round tablecloths are seamed in quadrants, far smarter and more tailored than side panels – think of a hot cross bun. The round tablecloths also always have a stabilized raw edge for drape and fluidity, rather than a hem.

Tables vary in width and length, but the drop should not be less than 8", and generally not more than 15" – a practical length, as it doesn't get caught underneath you when you sit down! A 10" to 12" drop is typical.

I love that I can machine wash it too! Things do tend to get messy around here especially in these crazy times. We are literally cooking from home everyday right now. Every meal. Every single day!!!

Their tablecloths come in many different colors and sizes! I love this rough edge linen tablecloth in grey! Even though it would not fit my table, this would be so fun to do food styling shoots with. I love grey!! The linen napkins and coasters are so beautiful too. I am adding some to my Christmas list. That sedona color is breath taking!! The tea towels are also lovely and I most definitely have my eye on the linen half-apron in pear.

Rough Linen’s thoughtfully conceived linen wares are small domestic luxuries meant to be loved and used every day. They satisfy a longing for simplicity, quality, and comfort, and they do this in a way that feels good in every way — from trusting their craft and believing in their ethical practices, to feeling that unmistakable freshness of linen against skin. (And yes, they believe linen has almost magical properties.)

Rough Linen’s spirit originates with the story of a family heirloom —homespun linen from a stone cottage in Scotland, come to light four generations later. The thread from this time and place to what they create today is unbroken.

Together with their team of in-house sewers, they bring the love for timeless linen to a world which can use what it stands for - strength, continuity, craft. It is goodness you can feel, in your own hands. Made to be lived with — and loved.

I cannot wait to show you my guest bedroom bedding makeover in partnership with Rough Linen on Tuesday!! I got the most beautiful photos this morning !!!!

But I wanted to pop in and show you what I have been planning for Easter!!! I hope you love the color combos of everything I did. I used my lovely Pepper Home Blake Placemats except for I tuned them over on the navy side vs the floral side. I also made adorable little bunny rabbits from my Pepper Home Carolina Napkins. They look so pretty with the dusk tablecloth from Rough Linen…don’t you agree?! My brushed blue plates are from West Elm and the floral plates are from Reasor’s here in Tulsa where I live. I will keep adding to it!! And will share over on my Instagram stories. I plan to make homemade gnocchi for the very first time so wish me luck!!!! We have never had Italian food before on Easter….but hey…there is a first time for everything!

Here are a few tips too if you want to make the bunnies out of your napkins!!!!

I hope the photos are self explanatory but let me know if you have any questions!!!

Check out Rough Linen ASAP my dears!! You will not regret it!!
