Best Tulsa Lunch Spots-2023
Lin and I love having a weekly lunch date adventure!
I’m here to help you find the best lunch in Tulsa Oklahoma today!
“Best” is different for all of us…and if you’re anything like me, it changes from day to day. Also lunch is the, sadly, most under-represented meal in T-Town. We all know that brunch is the glory meal, and gorgeous weekend dinner restaurants get lots of attention, but lunch gets overlooked. But we have so many great lunch spots in Tulsa !!
So…whether you are visiting Tulsa for the first time or looking for a new place to grab lunch in this foodie town, these restaurants offer the best of the city's midday food scene! Whether you are looking for somewhere quiet and cozy or a chic place to gather with friends over lunch, there is a restaurant on this list for you...
Bar Serra- This is a new concept from The Mcnellies Group! I absolutely love the vibe of this neighborhood bar and restaurant in Utica Square built with the sophistication of a modern greenhouse. Lots of parking is available as well as an Instagrammable ambiance. The food is quite delicious too. I highly recommend the Crispy Artichokes served with remoulade and I don’t even really care for artichokes usually. I also really love their Guacamole and Salsa served with warm tortilla chips. The Salsa is not overly spicy and tastes really fresh and the Guac is just delicious and they offer such a generous portion for sharing!
Other favorites are the Mediterranean Bowl. I love this when I want a healthier option that is filling and protein packed. It has quinoa, marinated cabbage, feta, hummus, herb tomato, carrot, cauliflower, cucumber mint yogurt sauce, and is topped with sumac and dill with choice of chicken or falafel. The Bar Serra Cheeseburger is delightful too. Enjoy sharp cheddar, cabbage, pickles, onions, lettuce, yellow mustard, hickory sauce and mayo with Crispy Parmesan Potatoes. The potatoes are absolutely to die for. I mean who can resist fried russet potatoes with Grana Padano?!! The Brick Chicken is another must…Chicken Breast with Panzanella salad and feta!
Another thing I adore about Bar Serra is that they have Mocktails offered on the menu. I started a Sober Curious journey this year and I love seeing more restaurants offering mocktails. I have tried both drinks at Bar Serra and recommend both! The Daylily reminds me of autumn with it’s almond orgeat, orange, cinnamon, clove & cranberries. I love it on a rainy day. And The Wallflower reminds me of Spring with it’s blackberry, elderflower, & light hops. It’s so refreshing and quite pretty too.
Le Louvre French Cafe- Le Louvre French Cafe, as authentic as any french bakery in Paris, France. Yakham and his wife moved from Paris, France, to Tulsa in 2017 to rejoin their son and his growing family. They take much pride in serving their best every day such as warm and fresh croissants, quiches, savory and sweet crepes…and don’t forget the delicious pastries.
The La Paysanne Crêpe is one of my faves from the Crêpes Salées menu. I mean you just cannot go wrong with bacon, shredded cheese, mushrooms & béchamel . I also love The La Biquette which has goat cheese, honey, rosemary & walnuts. And from the Crêpes Sucrées menu I adore the La Nutella which has delicious Nutella & Chantilly. The La Fraise is so amazing too. Strawberries, almonds and Chantilly and you can top it with Nutella or Salted Caramel.
Le LouvRe also has Sandwichs et autres
(Sandwiches and more served with small salad and french vinaigrette)
I love the Quiche Lorraine from this menu. Quiche is a savory, open pastry crust with a filling of savory custard with cheese blend and bacon. The Croque Madame is incredibly tasty as well. Baked ham and cheese sandwich with white dressing topped of an egg sunny side up. And for Salades & Soupes..I recommend the Salade Chèvre (Salad mix, toasted goat cheese on baguette, bacon, sliced apple, onions, walnuts and honey) and Soupe aux Oignons (Bowl of French onion soup served gratinéed with croutons and cheese on top)
Everything from the Pâtisserie is delightful! And they have lovely Boissons chaudes. (Hot Beverages)
They have plenty of parking and are also on doordash. And if dining there…please note this would be more of a leisurely lunch spot though.
The French Hen- Kathy Bondy is a veteran restauranteur with a passion for great food and wine. Kathy started in her father’s fine dining establishment in Arkansas at just 14 years old and continued to work there until moving to Tulsa to attend the University of Tulsa and study accounting. However, she found the art of hospitality was a hereditary passion and soon found herself honing her skills by managing or owning a variety of local favorite restaurants.
By 2004 Kathy had partnered with Richard Clark to bring Tulsa the local concept, Table 10. She then purchased the French Hen in November 2011 with a goal of continuing the restaurant’s 34-year legacy of being one of the top fine-dining spots in Tulsa. Chef/Owner Kathy Bondy has now assembled one of the most talented and accomplished teams in Tulsa and keeping to The French Hen’s high standards for food and service to Tulsa.
I enjoy the STEAK & FRITES.. that brandy peppercorn sauce is just too good! I also really enjoy the CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH served on a buttery croissant with dried cranberries, field green salad, and delicious potatoes. BEEF BOURGUIGNON EN CROUTE is a must too. They also do ESCARGOT so well with parsley, garlic butter, and puff pastry.
The CHOCOLATE CRÈME BRÛLÉE is pure magic!
They did make me a lovely mocktail off menu too! Free parking can be tricky here but just download the parking app and it makes it easy.
LaTertulia- LT Brings the taste of New Mexico to Tulsa from James Beard Award Winning Chef Kevin Nashan. You all know how much I adore La Tertulia and can read all about it here. It’s my favorite restaurant in Tulsa . Everything on the menu is so absolutely delicious and you cannot go wrong with anything.
The food is simple, yet decadent! Delectable, really. And just screams Hello, New Mexico. I feel quite spoiled really having this gem of a place blocks away from where I live.
The Vault- The Vault is excited to serve classic American food and craft cocktails in a building like no other. The Vault focuses on quality food made from scratch. The craft cocktails are made to order using house squeezed juices, house made syrups and fine quality spirits.
I love their Cheese Tray! And they have the best Cobb Salad in town! And fabulous mocktails on the menu. The Mid Century vibe is so fun too.
Free parking is available in the lots surrounding The Vault. There is also a ramp to 2nd Level Parking off of 7th Street.
Bohemian Wood Fire Pizza And Pasta- Experience delicious wood-fire pizzas & handmade pastas, made with the finest ingredients imported from Italy and the freshest locally sourced produce. They offer gluten free and vegan pizzas as well. Favorites of mine are the Roasted Artichoke Hummus-unique house made hummus, topped with artichokes & served with fresh baked pizza points, Bohemian Brussels Sprouts-Wood fired Brussels sprouts topped with pancetta, parmesan cheese & truffle oil and The Bohemian Salad is just superb. It has spinach & arugula tossed in house vinaigrette & topped with red onion, grape tomatoes & goat cheese. I love adding figs and walnuts to this one and sometimes chicken.
My favorite pizzas are The Local Sausage- Italian sausage, roasted red bell peppers, caramelized red onion, San Marzano tomato sauce & fresh mozzarella. The Bohemian BBQ- Roasted chicken, pancetta, fresh red onion, English cheddar, goat cheese, herbed olive oil, BBQ sauce & rosemary. And Amalfi Coast Fig-Imported figs, walnuts, fresh spinach, herbed olive oil, goat cheese, Prosciutto di Parma & topped with a balsamic reduction. The Arugula is so delicious too- Prosciutto di Parma, goat cheese, wild arugula, & herbed olive oil. Topped with balsamic reduction and parmesan.
Don’t skip the dessert either. The S'mores Calzone is decadent!! Dark chocolate, marshmallow & crushed graham in freshly made pizza dough. Dusted with powdered sugar, crushed graham & a chocolate drizzle. + One scoop of Rose Rock ice cream
