This Pumpkin Carrot Peanut Butter Banana Pupcake recipe is for all of my friends out there who treat their dogs like their children. My two sweet boys love healthy pupcakes so much! (scroll down for recipe)And luckily with all the time I have had at home these past few months I have been baking some wonderful treats for my dogs. However I still love having store bought healthy dog treats in the house- not only because I love spoiling my pups but because they come in handy for so many various things! (keeping them occupied during my at home zoom meetings, training them to be pro walkers on the leash especially now that the river trails are getting so packed with cyclists, and just giving them a little special treat to let them know how much I love them) I will do anything to see those sweet wagging tails!

My knowledge of dog health and nutrition is vast and I believe that all dogs deserve healthier and better tasting snacks!

Because my dogs’ happiness and health matters so much, when I go shopping for treats for my two dogs Henry and Melvin I always look for new, high quality treats that they will enjoy. And we really love Old Mother Hubbard. Founded in Gloucester, MA, Old Mother Hubbard’s dog treats are all-natural and never artificial, and have been around since 1926. Each home-style recipe is carefully crafted from wholesome ingredients that allow you to feel good about giving your pup a reward that is healthy and heartfelt., and all the fun flavors in between, there is a natural choice for every taste that dogs drool over. And while still based in Massachusetts, Old Mother Hubbard is now available at Walmart nationwide! We love the Online Grocery Pickup (OGP) at Walmart too! Sooooo conveinant! And the boys can come along that way too because we can all sit in the nice cool air conditioned car.

The boys absolutely love them!

There is such a nice variety of treats too at Walmart but we really love the Old Mother Hubbard Crunchy P’ Nuttier N’ Nanners and The Old Mother Hubbard Extra Tasty Assortment Natural Dog Biscuits that has three delicious flavors, including Liv'R'Crunch, P-Nuttier and Bac'N'Cheez flavors! These dog biscuits feature all natural ingredients, a fun bone shape, and natural crunch that my boys seem to really enjoy.

What’s better than watching your pooch react to the question, “Do you want a treat?” Whether it’s a perk of the ears or full-on freakout, we love to give or dogs Old Mother Hubbard treats because it makes our pups so happy. Entertainment aside, kicking your dog a treat now and then can have real-life benefits which include:

Training Treats

Comfort Treats

Just-Because-We-Love-Them Treats

Learning when and how to use treats can benefit your dog’s health and happiness in so many ways. And a happy and healthy dog makes for a happy and healthy dog owner. Our dogs have such short lives and they deserve the very best! Don’t you agree?!

Food is love. It’s why your family gets together for your favorite meal when you come home, and why your beloved brings you breakfast in bed, or why your friends buy you doughnuts and drinks on your birthday. When you feed someone, it’s a sign you care about their well-being, that you want them to continue to live, and to enjoy life. What is a greater expression of love than that?

I don’t think any dog owner—myself included—would deny that our dogs are the great loves of our lives, our faithful companions. My dogs know I that I would do anything for them, not only because I frequently tell them, but also because they will occasionally test me by asking not very politely to go outside at 3 a.m. or demanding we take another turn around the block when I’m all ready to head home. And I always comply, because their pain is my pain, and their happiness is my happiness.

Now for the delicious Henry and Melvin approved pupcake recipe! (they may not look beautiful but they are sure made with so much love)

Melvin and Henry didn’t have any particular comments about these treats, but they gobble them up while wagging their little tails. And later, while I was cleaning up, they both came came to me and gave me their version of a slobbery kiss! They let me believe that I make them happy, which we both know is all I really want for them. It’s the least I can do for these furry babies who brings me so much happiness and love.
