Sweet Defeat 30-Day Sugar Detox Recap

This post was in collaboration with Sweet Defeat, all opinions are my own.

Just a little over a month ago I introduced you to a thirty day sugar detox I was doing with Sweet Defeat! You can catch up on all the deets here  in case you missed it or just want to refresh. I also made a permanent reel on my Insta Stories which you can find here.

It has been such an incredible journey and Sweet Defeat has really really proven to work for me. I know so many of you have been so anxious for my results so ta-da.... here’s what happened…

MY EXPERIENCE

  • Cutting out sugar is always tough, but after a few days it becomes so easy. Going off candy and sweets was something I had been wanting to do for a while to keep my energy levels more stable throughout the day, so this was a good excuse to start. Once I got over the hump, I satisfied my sweet tooth with a ginger Health-Aid Kombucha or a piece of fruit. (wow-even strawberries are a tad too sweet for me now) And after a few days, I felt that I had more energy throughout the day (no more mid-day slump). No more brain fog either. I could tell I was more focused and alert and all of these incredible benefits were from cutting out sugar.

  • I noticed amazing things happening to my skin too. My face was glowing and my pores started to look clear and actually smaller. It might be subtle to someone else, but to me it was quite noticeable. I also realized that for the first time in months, I hadn't gotten the usual breakout on my chin that usually denotes the arrival of my period. Coincidence? I think not: Sugar has a huge impact on our hormones, and clearly something was finally in balance.

  • I also slept better, which made my eyes look rested and reduced my under eye circles. My sleep patterns have always been an issue so this one is huge for me!!

  • I also began to witness just how well a clean diet pairs with regular workouts: Not only was I feeling gains during my sweat sessions, but I was seeing them, too. My clothes are fitting a tad better around the waist section.

It's been a little over 30 days and I'm still basically living that sugar-free life to the best of my ability anyway—It doesn't technically feel like "cheating" anymore when I have the occasional glass of wine, or indulge on some milk chocolate  (still my kryptonite). But now that I've been able to actually really see and understand how much better and balanced I've felt over time—all while making relatively MINOR adjustments to my lifestyle—I don't feel like I'm making a huge effort to "be good." I feel happy making healthy choices that don't leave me feeling bloated and sluggish within a matter of minutes. On the flip side of that, when I do indulge, I'm present enough to actually enjoy every bite or sip in moderation. All in all, I'm much more conscientious about the way I am eating on every level, and I think that's the key to mastering that game of give and take because it truly is give and take!!

Sweet Defeat’s thirty day detox finally got me to this point you guys! I recommend their detox to anyone who needs a reset and wants to change their relationship with sugar. We are moving into the fall holiday season and there is just no reason to not stay on course even being tempted with all the sweets thrown at us starting around Halloween.

Trust me, there were moments I got off a tad off course on my detox while traveling and attending a friend's birthday but Sweet Defeat easily got me back on course again!! Talking all about this some more over on IGTV  too so head over there for for more info!!!

And you can also enjoy 50% off your first box of Sweet Defeat using promo code “RUBLE50”! Check it out here.

With the holidays approaching in just a few months, you better bet I will be using Sweet Defeat again to help me through!!

Happy Sugar Detoxing!!
