The Art of Staying In With Slowdown Studio
I discovered Slowdown Studio while Christmas shopping for Lin and ohhhh man, it’s absolute love at first sight!!!!!! Like crazy love..the kind of love that knocks you off of your feet!!!!
Slowdown Studio is the brainchild of Los Angeles-based designer Marc Hendrick. Discovering emerging and established artists from across the globe, collaboration is at the heart of Slowdown Studio. The modern lifestyle brand celebrates individuality and artistry, and the result is a collection of living, breathing works of art that are both functional and beautiful. Slowdown Studio invites you to embrace the slower moments in life.
I was gifted the gorgeous Wilder Knit Blanket and it’s just the perfect size! And perfect pattern! And perfect color palette! Can you tell how excited I am over a blanket?!! The Wilder Knit Blanket was designed by Russian artist Marina Timm. Marina Timm is a Los Angeles-based artist who creates bold, abstract, digital prints and collages.
Slowdown Studio knit blankets are proudly made in the USA using a high quality and environmentally friendly recycled cotton blend. The blend consists of an 80% cotton and 20% poly blend, which makes our blankets really soft and avoids pilling or bleeding, so you can enjoy them for years to come. They measure 50" x 60" (127cm x 153cm).
These knitted blankets are heavier and softer than their woven throws, making them perfect for wrapping into on cozy nights at home on the couch or out on the porch. Ohh I am about operation cozy over here!!!! What’s even more awesome too is that you can wash their blankets in your washing machine in cold water on the gentle cycle..then dry it on a cool cycle or line dry!
And for Lin I purchased the La Muralla Roja Puzzle! I thought we could have a fun date night in! This was designed by Australian artist Charlie Bennell! And this 285 piece puzzle features one of his favorite buildings in architecture - La Muralla Roja in Calpe, Spain. Designed by Ricardo Bofill, 'The Red Wall' is characterized by a puzzle-like series of interlocking stairs, platforms, and bridges, painted in various tones of red and blue to either blend or contrast with the sky and surrounding landscape. The completed puzzle measures 16.5" x 12". I got him some really cool gift wrap and cards too. They have since sold out of the things I purchased but you should check out all the paper goods they offer here.
And hey my birthday is coming up and I will gladly accept 100 bars of this Terrazo Soap!!!
I will forever be stalking Slowdown’s Studio site to see what’s new! You should too!
