Read MoreI like to keep it easy when it comes to selecting tableware. I buy timeless pieces that I love that also sit well together and make it easy to mix and match. I generally let the occasion, company and the menu guide me when I set the table, but you can’t go wrong with The Pillivuyt Brasserie Dinnerware Collection, especially when you love throwing French dinner parties!
It is one of Pillivuyt's most recognized patterns. Created in the 1920's for restaurants and cafes' who wished to have their menus on their dinnerware, this design is printed on a decal and then applied by hand. After the decal is applied, the piece is fired for a third time and the design is baked into the glaze.
The Brasserie collection of dinnerware and cookware by Pillvuyt features sidewalk cafes, Parisian nights, and hints of Hemingway's Moveable Feast.

Ready? Go!
Please tell me you did it! I am imagining y’all staring at the screen and practicing your best Gérard Depardieu impersonation.
Today is the official first day of fall and I am celebrating with this divine, comforting Boeuf Bourguignon, or Beef Burgundy in English, which is one of my fave dishes ever and the perfect dinner for this season . (sharing the recipe at the end of this post) If you’ve never heard of it before, it is pretty much a beef stew made with red wine, mushrooms and pearl onions that was given a big fancy French name!

That’s right, no sweet-and-sour or triple sec in this blend, my friends – and it really makes all the difference.
Tequila Zarpado is handcrafted from 100% mature Blue Agave grown in Los Valles of Jalisco. This Tequila is double-distilled and made in small batches at a family-owned distillery. Their process fuses tradition with the family's own methods to produce Tequila that is rich and elegant.
Filleting and grilling a whole fish can seem intimidating, but it’s actually quite simple to do! While testing this delicious Yellowtail Recipe I couldn’t find snapper fillets, but I could find whole snappers.
No problem—filleting a snapper (or any other similar fish) is easy if you follow these steps.
Just be sure to use your sharpest knife, whether it’s a fillet knife or a chef’s knife. I highly recommend the Opinel FORGED 1890 7" FILLET KNIFE for all of your fish recipes.
Read MoreThis garlic baked pork tenderloin with italian seasonings and a nice French country salad is one of my favorite summertime dinners! First off, everyone loves pork tenderloin, and this one has just enough interesting and surprising flavors to make it feel dinner party-worthy. I roast mine in the oven but this is a recipe you can throw on the grill too! Pork tenderloin is one of those cuts of meat that is made for serving a crowd too so you could easily scale this recipe up (buy a larger tenderloin) depending on your guest count, then slice it up and arrange on a big gorgeous family-style platter.

Rodge joined me for a wine tasting with The Alliance Française de Chicago and that was a very nice surprise . He was very sweet and romantic and it was everything I needed! ( decade long relationships need sparks my dears)
Turns out Rodge loves Tavels and I love Bordeaux when it comes to French Rosè wines! But after learning more I need to get my hands on a really good Savoie . I think the Savoie is going to be the very Rosè that was made for Sam!
Bastille Day is soon approaching, and even if you're not in France, all you lovely Francophiles can still party like it's 1789. Le quatorze juillet, better known among English speakers as Bastille Day, is a time to come together to commemorate the Storming of the Bastille as well as the Fête de la Fédération, the celebration of the unity of the French nation during the Revolution, in 1790. Between the French military parade down the Champs-Elysées, air shows in the Parisian skies, fireworks shows that light up the Eiffel Tower, and the many festivities in cities around the world, there are plenty of ways to celebrate La Fête Nation.
If you have plans to throw your own soirée to honor the holiday, here's a roundup of delicious Bastille Day dishes. They are just perfect for a lovely meal at home too any night of the week. I hope to encourage you to experiment a bit with the french way …..go frenching yourself so-to-speak! LOL!

It’s National Picnic Day and I hope to encourage everyone to pack up their lunch and take it outdoors.
Copying the French lifestyle has become my complete joie de vivre. Staying true to their carefree way of living, Parisians take the fuss-free route with their picnics. I wanted to concentrate on grabbing high-quality food and having a low-key tête-à-tête, the true Parisian way.
“The Easter eggs symbolizes our ability to break out of the hardened, protective shell we’ve surrounded ourselves with that limits our thoughts and beliefs. As we break open our hearts and minds we discover a transformation to new, life enhancing thoughts and beliefs.”
