Slow Cooker French Onion Soup

We finally (!!!) just had our first semi-chilly day in Tulsa, and you should have seen me… totally pulled out the boots and turtleneck! You would have thought we were experiencing an arctic blast, when it was actually just under 60 degrees. It’s amazing how the changing temps cause such a shift in what I’m craving for dinner, and the most visible evidence is the return of my slow-cooker to the countertop. There’s something so comforting about putting all the ingredients in the cooker in the morning, turning it on low heat, and then coming home to the most amazing smells before you even open the front door

Their bourbon is made from a Corn/Rye/Malted Barley mash. Barreled at less than 125 proof for <2 years in new American Oak Charred Barrels, then cut to 60 proof using our private crystal clear water source with natural Brown Sugar and Cinnamon flavors added. 30% ABV/60 Proof. Fashion In The Square//Garden Party Fashion Show

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know that I am back from Memphis, and have been gearing up for Runway Tulsa! I actually am never home for this event so I was thrilled to actually attend for the first time ever! Can you believe that?! Thank you travel gods!!!

I am so excited to kick off the festivities with Fashion in The Square in Utica Square! I love it there, especially this time of year!!

This is a FREE event to celebrate Utica Square's long-held reputation as Tulsa's premier fashion, retail and restaurant district. The latest styles take center stage at the Merchant Runway Show in the Square's Garden on Saturday October 13 right in-between The Wild Fork and Starbucks! I was actually asked to walk down the runway this year but had to politely pass on that part! (I am so shy ya’ll)

Memphis is somewhere that I really wanted to spend some time exploring. I had been there once before when I was 17 but that doesn’t even count. And Lin had never been before and I had a feeling he would really enjoy the rich history. I also really wanted to see one of my favorite Frenchie bands Phoenix play as they booked a stop in Memphis for Mempho Fest, a two day music festival. Being such a music lover since as long as I can remember, I just had to experience one of the most musically charged cities in the country. SHEET PAN CHICKEN WITH POTATOES, BRUSSELS SPROUTS AND APPLES

Ohhhh my goodness……Happy October everyone!!! Bring on all the fall veggies, scary movies, and pumpkins please!!! It is truly the most magical time of the year in my opinion.

I had the best weekend involving the farmers market, the fair, kettle corn, and a horror movie on the couch in cozy pjs. It ended with the most delicious sheet pan chicken with roasted veggies. And some red wine!

Fall flavors are speaking to me, even though the warmer temperatures have not gotten the memo that it’s time to cool down now.

Anyway-this is the easiest dinner to throw together in a matter of minutes and it’s so so delicious!
