All the boys and girls are sharing their costumes today so Melvin and Henry wanted to share too! Are they not the cutest #Francophiles ever?!!
Yes, I know, 2020 has changed traveling an awful lot!! But when the invitation arrives in my inbox to spend a weekend in Bentonville exploring public art and all of my fave museums and restaurants to see exactly how Bentonville is keeping people living safely-well…it is impossible to say no!!!!
I visited Bentonville 8 times in 2019 on assignment and was greatly missing it! The downtown square is so quaint streets plus Bentonville has such a great food and drink scene and its many museums and local shops just make my heart sing. A weekend in Bentonville even in a pandemic is a great idea and couldn’t be easier to do. Remember , it’s only two hours from Tulsa! And with all of the public art and trails…well even if you just want to stay outdoors to keep distance, you are going to have a heck of a good time, Bentonville is truly the perfect place to take a weekend getaway or even just a day trip! Truth be told-I felt safer in Bentonville than I do in Tulsa right now. Everyone is wearing masks and being so respectful of one another. They are really embracing the social distancing protocols and it’s beautiful to see.
Read MoreIn just a matter of days, we will be honoring those who have passed away for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a multi-day holiday that is quite literally a celebration of the dead. Even though it looks very different this year ( so bummed I can’t be with my family) Rodge and I will still be enjoying our favorite Mexican food, pastries, and tequila cocktails on November 2nd!Give me all the chicken flautas and guacamole and tequila por favor! 💃🏻I partnered with @herradurateq this year to celebrate with what could be thought of as the margarita’s bitter cousin, the grapefruit-driven Paloma made with their incredible #Herradura silver tequila!

A very important part of this holiday which is celebrated in many Latin American countries is the significance and importance of food.
I love making my abuelita's Mole Chicken Enchiladas. Mole negro is a complexly flavored, dark-as-night, chile-and-chocolate sauce. (spicy and sweet) We serve this with spicy jalapeño black beans and lots of delish guacamole! You cannot forget the sugar skull cookies either. Cooking this wonderful feast brings back the best memories for me with my family in El Paso. It was such a special time to remember those that have passed on and honor them with offerings of sugar skulls, marigolds and an assortment of foods. And of course it looks so different this year not being able to attend the celebrations but it was important that I carry on the tradition this year!
Made the most delish plant-based almond butter cookies with chocolate drizzle using Kite Hill Food’s Plant-Based Butter Alternative! It uses cultured almond milk and healthy oils such as sunflower and coconut oils to create the creamiest consistent baking product! ( it’s great for cooking too ) This vegan, plant-based, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free butter alternative can be found at Whole Foods or a few select Target stores!
So now for the recipe!
Piping hot bold dark coffee greets us both first thing in the morning followed by a midday hot maple coffee treat for him and an iced maple coffee for me all made in our own cozy little CoffeeShopCorner here at home! ( Head to stories for the recipe because it’s sooooo good! Tastes like fall in a cup.) 🍁 🍂 ☕️ Our new MultiServe brews fresh coffee- any size, any time! Plus it looks great in our modern kitchen! ( of course we went with the white one but you can also get it in black and stainless steel)

I could talk about skin and beauty products all day long really! I love finding products that work and telling others; and I love when my skin looks and feel it’s best because that’s what gives me confidence. Do you feel the same way?!
For me, makeup should also enhance the face. There's nothing worse than seeing makeup caked on- it doesn't look good and let's get real, in this weather, your face is likely to melt. (still soooo hot here in Oklahoma) I like my look to be natural, partly because I want to look like myself but also because I'm just far too low-maintenance with my appearance to worry about a flawless face.

Still don’t know why I waited soooo long to do it because I will have it done every year-no matter what!!!
It was the best thing I have ever done for my confidence! I have never been so happy with a procedure! It lasted almost a year too so that was impressive to me. I started to notice the under eye dents again end August as documented below by photos.

A good utensil set is everything when you are cooking from home and I love the one Karibe sent over! If you’re stocking a new kitchen or you’re upgrading to better equipment, it’s wise to choose quality products that will do a good job and last a long time. And if they look good while you’re using them, that’s an added bonus. While not everyone cooks the same foods, and not everyone has the same cooking skills, there are some tools that just about everyone needs in the kitchen, no matter what’s being served. Whether you’re looking for something that stirs, preps,or serves, there is a cooking utensil that's just right for you here!

We skipped over the fall decorating this year and went straight to Halloween home decor! Fall is my everything—the beginning of the holiday season where everything feels just a little bit more magical and joyous. This year I felt a desire to start decorating for Halloween earlier than usual, and went for it. Why not given the crazy year we’ve all endured?! Halloween makes me so ridiculously happy.
Plus the fact that I am a blogger too.. I wanted to decorate early to photograph, edit, post/publish weeks before anyone else is shopping for home decor to help you guys out too! And I am even now still running behind so I promise next year to have this Halloween guide out to you end September! So appreciative to those who reached out on Instagram though asking for links to shop! I am always willing to share those so slide into my D.M’s anytime.
I am putting up my Christmas decor November 1st so be on the lookout for that shopping guide as well…first time ever to do it so soon!

I discovered a brand called Pure Indian Foods a few months ago and have been using their beautiful delicious products in my recipes. I am so excited to share them with you today!
Pure Indian Foods is run by the Agarwal family. Husband and wife team, Sandeep and Nalini Agarwal, brought the family ghee business to the United States in 2008. The business for them is a family legacy that they one day want to leave to their children. Currently, Sandeep runs the day-to-day operations, and Nalini makes all the ghee by hand in the traditional Indian way.
