Most people think a kitchen is a dangerous place for textiles, myself included. The kitchen is actually the area in our home we spend the most time in and let's just say foot traffic, crumbs, spills, and grease are going to happen. I have always loved the look of a rug under the dining table but just know I would regret it however a runner is a different story.

I’ve been a fan of Drew and Mel's  The Makerage for awhile now. It’s been great working with them to promote their gorgeous collection of modern handmade decor. We have a few of them in the condo and they are even more gorgeous in person. It’s so easy to fall head over heels over the cool planters they provide.  They’re affordable, incredibly sturdy and versatile. And I cannot even begin to tell you about the sleek modern Lazy Susan's they make. I have wanted one for a long time now for the center of our Sarringen table but of course it needed to be something attractive and a piece that complimented the already stunning table, not compete with it.  It's been so fun adding some concrete into our space and I cannot wait to show you our new pieces but first let's meet Drew and Mel!

After redoing our entire living room area, (and OMG-I cannot wait to share the big reveal with you soon)  I knew that the next phase was to begin the redesign of my vanity area/office space.

I wanted my office to feel luxurious and accessible--but still modern and minimal.  I wanted my space to inspire my work and vice versa. Whether I’m preparing for a major photo shoot, packing for my next travel adventure on the road, or building out my editorial calendar and spending an afternoon swimming in emails, and writing--- I feel so productive and at ease when I’m here. The light is gorgeous and I love the downtown views here. 

We have a lot of blank space on the walls and are currently sprucing the condo up for various shoots so I recently decided that it would be fun to spruce up our guest room with a travel theme –- using our favorite photos from the places that have really grabbed our hearts. I started with two photos as a surprise for Lin. He is a little harder to convince that these blank walls need to not be forever empty. 

I worked with Framebridge to create my first two photos of meaningful places.
